Happy Halloween

Today we worked with some additional exponent rules and did another practice sheet (5.3).  We also took notes on 5.3 and 5.4 (notes part one and part two).  Tomorrow we will start with story problems using exponents.  We even looked at how we could use the calculator to cheat and find our solutions when we can't remember another method.  Use the Tools we Have!!  is our new motto!! video samples

Chapter 5 exponents and logs.  Yesterday we took a pre-test on Chapter 5 and started our notes.  Please see chapter five notes attached.  Today we finished our notes on exponents (5.2 and 5.4) and then did some practice (handout).  We also did some ACT review --be sure to check out the link to the ACT practice test online to the right!!  This will be very helpful for preparing for the test!! wow it is already 10/23

Hard to believe that almost a month has already past since the last update!!  SO sorry!!  Today we did review of chap 4 in the computer lab with Khan Academy and a few other websites.  We did not have a new assignment however you may have old work that you need to get turned in.  I handed out copies of all of our missing assignments.  Please work away at these and try to get them turned in asap.  Tomorrow we will review and do an activity for our test on Chapter 4 (it will be on Friday).  Please plan to get help before Friday if you are struggling!  I am available tomorrow at lunch and after school, but I will be at a conference on Thursday.  We have been doing great, so keep up the good work!!
